Abstract
Our research revolves around the development of a single-layer aeroponics system. This system will be energy-saving, easily manageable, cost effective, time saving and be able to operate in space restricted urban areas. Our watering system will be automated and reuse water to prevent wastage.
Our design will not require soil and will rely on water with nitrate and salt solution to provide nutrients for the plants. Our system allows plants to have an easier intake of oxygen due to exposed roots. It is also easier to manipulate the environment of the plants due to the lack of need for a medium for the roots.
